Where to eat
Our Pike Market food recommendations.
- Best fish & chips
- Pike Place Brewery has great fish & chips — and you can upgrade your fries to fried pickles, a great accompaniment. Take an immediate right out our door and walk down the stairs to the Atrium Kitchen; head south down the hallway and you'll find the brewery less than 100 yards down.
- Favorite NW eatery
- For a quick bite of Northwest seafood, The Market Grill is an iconic Pike Place sit-down for fresh grilled fish and other tasty bites — just under 200 yards down the Market, across from Pure Food Fish.
- Food with a view
- For a nice sit-down meal, Aerlume is a refined Northwest eatery with a sweeping view of Puget Sound, at the foot of the Market just past Victor Steinbrueck Park. For a burger and a beer, Old Stove toward sunset can't be beat — indoor and outdoor seating with lovely views of the Olympics on a clear day, just before Victor Steinbrueck Park.
- Best coffee in the area
- Conrad loves Pike St. Coffee, just down the stairs on Western Ave — the most consistent, high-quality pull of espresso in the Market.
- Joel's recommendation
- The sandwiches at DeLaurenti are all great — can't miss. Joel's favorite is The Grinder, Conrad recommends The Club, and Madison recommends the Taccino.
- Conrad's recommendation
- Just around the corner from Raven's Nest is Pasta Casalinga, a lovely handmade-pasta eatery. Fresh pastas are made daily and the menu rotates regularly, with much of the produce sourced throughout the Market. One of the best bites around.
- Madison's recommendation
- Just below Raven's Nest on the walkway down to Western Ave is Lonely Siren, a Portuguese tapas bar. Casual and comfortable — a great spot for a cocktail or a bottle of wine and some snacks as the bustle of the Market winds down. Open six days a week, 3pm to midnight.
