The Raven's Nest

Gold

Gold — mostly vintage, mostly one-of-a-kind.

The bulk of our gold is vintage and antique — pieces we hand-picked because they had a story before they got to our cases. Because so much of it is vintage, almost every piece in the gold case is the only one of itself you'll find.

For contemporary work and custom commissions, we collaborate with Bryan Everrett of Noble Savage Design.

What we specialize in

Colored stones, every shade of them.

If you love color, you're in the right corner of the Market. A short rundown of what tends to live in the cases:

Tourmalines

In every color tourmaline comes in — pinks, greens, blues, and the occasional bicolor. Hard, brilliant, and remarkably varied.

Sapphires of every color

Not just blue. Pink, peach, yellow, green, parti-colored — and the Montana sapphires we lean on for the closest thing to a domestic engagement stone.

Garnets

Beyond the deep red most people picture. Rhodolite, tsavorite, demantoid, spessartine — a garnet for nearly any color story.

Emeralds and rubies

Carefully vetted, vintage where possible. The character of an older stone is hard to manufacture.

Vintage and antique diamonds

Old European Cuts, Old Mine Cuts, transitional stones from the early 20th century — fire that modern cuts don't quite reproduce, and a hundred years of stories instead of two months of mining.

How we know what we know

Tested on its way in.

Resizing

Most pieces, we'll resize for you.

For most of our gold jewelry, we either subsidize or fully cover the cost of resizing through a trusted jeweler. Don't let a half-size off keep you from a piece that's otherwise the one.

Contemporary & custom

Bryan Everrett, our gold collaborator.

We heavily feature pieces by Bryan Everrett of Noble Savage Design — the artist we send most custom inquiries to for contemporary gold work. Engagement rings, wedding bands, redesigns of inherited pieces, and one-of-a-kind commissions.

Show us photos of what you have in mind and we'll set up the introduction.

In the cases now

Coming online soon.

We're photographing the cases and getting our inventory online over the next few weeks. In the meantime, come see what's here in person — or ask about a specific piece.

Have something in mind?

Send photos or a description — a stone you love, a setting you've saved, a piece you're hoping we'll find in the cases.
