14k Yellow gold jadeite & amethyst ring
The ring is centered with an oval, lavender jadeite cabochon in a four-prong setting. The center is surrounded by 20 tapered baguette cut amethysts in prong/channel settings. The ring measures 25.2 mm at the top, rises 11.2 mm above the finger, tapering to 3.1 mm wide and .9 mm thich at the base of the shank.

Purple jade gets its coloring from trace deposits of manganese and occasionally iron when it forms. Its coloring is rare and highly sought after.
